HUIZHONG NEWS
What does “autumn prevention” for broiler chickens entail, and how should it be carried out?
“Autumn Prevention” is short for the Comprehensive Autumn Animal Disease Control Campaign, typically beginning in early September and concluding in mid-November. During the autumn and winter seasons, large temperature fluctuations and heightened viral activity make this a high‑risk period for poultry diseases. Consequently, when this sensitive season coincides with chickens at particularly susceptible ages, outbreaks are more likely, necessitating proactive preventive measures. So, what should be guarded against in autumn? (1) With significant temperature swings, environment‑related illnesses become prevalent; therefore, it’s essential to prevent colibacillosis, enteritis, and respiratory infections. (2) In late autumn, strong winds and sudden drops in temperature can cause sharp declines in both air temperature and humidity, leading to cold stress in flocks. (3) In large‑scale commercial poultry farms, chickens…

In the years to come, take good care of yourself.
In this vast world, each of us is a unique individual with our own thoughts. Don’t measure others by your own standards, and don’t dwell too much on what they think—after all, they’re not you, nor can they fully understand you. Don’t let the opinions of others lead you to compromise your true self. Often, we travel so far that we forget why we set out in the first place. Only by holding fast to our original intentions can we avoid losing ourselves. When you’ve decided to let go of something, let it go completely—no lingering attachments. And as for those you’ve resolved never to see again, truly keep your distance. Please, stop forcing yourself to do things that betray who you really are. If you choose to love someone, then please…

According to reports, on September 10, German Minister of Food and Agriculture Julia Klöckner announced that the German Federal Institute for Animal Health had detected the African swine fever virus in wild boar carcasses that day, marking Germany’s first confirmed case of the disease. This outbreak has once again sounded an alarm for domestic pig farmers. Since the beginning of this year, in addition to Germany and Poland, cases have also been reported in Belgium, Hungary, and Romania, indicating that African swine fever is now spreading globally. Q: With imported pork supplies tight, what is the outlook for domestic pork prices? A: Prior to the outbreak, Germany…

Clinical Application Cases of Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea Vaccine Immunization in Pig Farms
The outbreak of African swine fever has severely disrupted the domestic balance of pig production, driving hog prices to persistently high levels. Consequently, pig farms have become more eager to resume and expand operations, leading to a growing pool of three‑way crossbred replacement gilts. This situation poses a significant risk of diarrhea in farrowing units, as primiparous sows, having not been exposed to diarrheal pathogens, exhibit markedly insufficient IgA antibody levels, greatly increasing the likelihood of such outbreaks. In this case study, laboratory techniques were employed to assess IgA antibody levels in the sow population, thereby evaluating the efficacy of a bivalent live vaccine against transmissible gastroenteritis and epidemic diarrhea (SD/L strain + LW/L strain)—hereafter referred to as the “Gastroenteritis–Diarrhea Bivalent Vaccine”—in real‑world production settings.

To further promote safety awareness and effectively enhance employees’ sense of safety, responsibility, and legal compliance, while elevating the company’s overall safety management standards, Huizhong Bio held its second “Ankang Cup” Safety Knowledge Competition on June 24. The competition consisted of three rounds—mandatory questions, risk‑based questions, and decisive final questions—covering topics such as laws and regulations on workplace safety, safety management, safety technology, occupational responsibilities, and risk management. Throughout the event, the atmosphere was both tense and spirited, with participants displaying high energy, composure, and quick, confident responses. The most exciting segment was the risk‑based round: correct answers earned points, while incorrect ones resulted in point deductions. Contestants remained highly focused, earning wave after wave of applause.
